Living it up the Acle way!!!

Yesterday we viewed 2 houses. Should have been 10 but due to agents not calling back (until when we arrived back home lol) we saw 2!!!!

The first one was in Acle, we'd seen it for quite a while and we thought it looked lovely.  First of all we looked really really daft as we couldn't find the entrance and when we did it was like a little hidden gem. Lovely!! Inside was a very splendid cat in the window only every so slightly spoilt by the looks of it. It had a large utility room, downstairs wc, dining room and then a 32 foot living room. Think that might fit us all in (perhaps lol).

Upstairs large galleried landing. Three bedrooms to one side of the house and bathroom. Then on the other side master bedroom and ensuite (albeit open plan!!!!?????) no toilet I hasten to add thank goodness and another large bedroom.

Lovely lady who owned the property who showed us round but very well to do, wished I hadn't worn my flip flops but then I never wear anything else in the summer.

After leaving there and having a walk and then a drive around the area, very impressed. We went off on our tour of Norfolk. Through Freethorpe, into Reedham caught the car ferry (only one car permitted at a time, so quaint)

over to Chedgrave then into Loddon. Now that truly is a pretty town and the prices of houses reflect this :( must must must do lottery more!!!! Got completely lost in  Beccles :( but found a mcd's result. F was v v impressed by this lol!
Headed out towards Bungay for the next viewing as we'd taken another wrong turning. Had to phone up the snootiest agent ever as we were running late for the next appointment. "well lets hope she has a mobile with her then" nice to know security is alive and kicking in the estate agents business.
Met up with the loveliest Glaswegian agent ever, apparently had lived in Gerrards Cross before so she had lots to say. However, sorry that was too small HOWEVER the house was sccccccccccccaaaaaaryyy!!
Now apparently the parents had passed away and left this grade 2 listed cottage to their 3 daughters who didn't know what to do with it (hmmmmm i'd already done some internet research and discovered that in January 2011 they'd applied for planning consent to change their barn into a house. Denied!!!). It didn't look as if anyone had lived in this house for about 20 years (hope they haven't been that ensure for that long). Although the agent said they had previously let out the house to a coupke for 6 months! I've seen this house and you can't live in it, now know why there are no pictures on the web for it other than the front.
First room: The kitchen
Looks ok, but the picture does it too much justice!! Wish we'd have videoed going round much truer reflection. There was a diary and a large toilet that could be viewed from the window in the galleried area, creepy!!! Then the 2 reception rooms. Agent stressed wallpaper must not be changed in any way shape or form.
er ok, whatever!!!!
Then upstairs 4 or 5 or 6 bedrooms who knows, each room leads into another and before we knew it, well we didn't know where we were. Although one of the bedrooms I went into I felt physically sick and needed to leave. Another bedroom, the sisters wanted us not to use (no explanation) floors broken, parents died who knows but you couldn't use it!!
Phew ran back outside,  to the barn, numerous storage sheds, forest etc etc. F loves the place, Hubster loved the place. I'm scared s**** of the place lol.

There are other pictures of the house but
It looks as if there is a presence in the house and I don't want to make this blog a scarefest fest!
Then we headed home, hooray, shattered but delighted by at least one of the houses.
Hubster is currently on the phone to the agents now putting in an offer .....................................
wait, wait, wait
Sorry you'll have to wait they will call us back lol!
Ta ta!
