Anyone who thinks that they are too small to make a difference has never tried to fall asleep with a mosquito in the room. Christie Todd Whitman

BITES!!!!!!!

Aaaaaargh!!!! I'm covered in them the insects have a particular interest in my arms which are now covered from the shoulder down to the fingers in small to the large bites.
my arse has also taken a battering and if you've ever smelt insect repellent who in there right mind would EVER use it.

Now blue bottle flies are like Kamakazi Japanese warriors they have no fear and fly at you at over 200mph, particularly nice when in bed, asleep and you get hit by said fly and you hear the bzzzzzzzzz before they fly off again. I have so far chased several around the bed and a few have gone off to a better place RIP little flies :(

Had a very nice day today woke late (again) country air hmmm!!!! and then we set off for the beach at Pakefield. Beautiful day couldn't have asked for better. All loaded up. You should have seen the girls face at the fish and chips shops when I asked for 9 portions of chips. This was also repeated later on in the day in mcdonalds (well cooking for 10 is an awful lot to ask of anyone) and hubby had all the kids lined up and individually asking for their order! Apparently there were 3 people on our order, one of chips, one on drinks and one on burgers/nuggets lol ( a little queue had formed behind them lol). We now have more mcdonalds happy meals toys than you could shake a stick at.

Had lots of "ew theres sand in my face, feet, eyes" etc but on the whole everyone was happy. Little milk monster wasn't content (of course) with staying in his mini tent. 3 buckets and 3 spades were purchased for the 3 younger ones (although should have got one for the 20 year old too lol) and lots of grand castles, moats were built
and then (of course) kicked down :(.

Must get some wind breaks as it was flippin freezin on the beach and I had my back to the sun all day and now have a (ONE) red shoulder, pretty!!!!!
Before too long the kids were bored and it was time to go home (good job we're only 40 mins away from the beach now as we could never stretch out a whole day).

Journey home : 2 cars and country lanes = hassle when running out of petrol. Luckily for my car load I got lost and ended up in Beccles and filled up at the Tesco garage 131.6 impressed by price. Hubby not so lucky as he went the right way all the way home and bumped bumped bumped all the way down the a140 until we reached our garage (we were following him by now after receiving an SOS from them) and hubby did a punch in the air when he glided into the forecourt :).

We need a whole list of do's and don't nowadays, biggest one must fill up car on journeys as not many garages around lol!!!!

Last night with a full house and although its been good, looking forward to the peace that 3 kids instead of 8 brings :)

I brought children into this dark world because it needed the light that only a child can bring. ~Liz Armbruster, on robertbrault.com

My head is exploding, with 8 children in the house and a hubby its manic here with a capital M! Still the sun continued to shine and we setup the bouncy castle and games etc and had a far too much food to cope with BBQ!!!

Great time was had by all, lots of mini arguments and then one giant argument with hubby and me :(, all in all a normal day.

Haven't left the house other than to walk around the side of the greenhouse for food supplies (where the BBQ is).

Off to the beach tomorrow with the tribe (they'll be no escaping to a quiet toilet there lol).

Good news, I have finally found the pics on my mobile (and uploaded them) to fill in all the gaps from my previous blogs about the move!!!

How Many Roads Must A Man Walk Down Before He Admits Hes lost?

Had a really eventful day, found the Post Office today, aren't you impressed??? Funny thing is we were only 2 mins walk away from it and it took us 30 mins and we walked up 3 roads and back down again and then finally conceded defeat and asked a man who was working by his car and he pointed down the road we started walked down but stopped as it was desolate and yest there it was in front of us!!! Hmmmm.

Hubby had an interview first thing today and I had one at 11am which then turned into an informal chat (its the way I tell them lol) not sure the place is for me though :(. Stunning location, only 9 miles away and by that I mean country lane miles which takes an awful lot longer than normal miles. For example a nurses minute isn't really a normal minute, get my point??? So I was quite pleased to hear that hubby really liked his place and fingers crossed that they get in touch with him about it. A lot of the companies seem to be very family orientated and even weirder at every interview so far we've both been offered a cup of tea. With my last job
in the NHS I got a paper cup filled with water lol!!!

Anyway got home a lot faster than it took to get to the interview, seem to manage to get lost in a shoe box around here. Its amazing how you take knowing one's surroundings for granted and then when you move to a new area it really hits you that you can make a 5 min journey into an hour just by turning left instead of right.

Sweltering day, so stripped off as soon  as I got in into summer clothes rather than formal work attire and took the stroll with hubby to PO. On the way back we decided to finally pay the local pub a visit, hmmmm opening hours mon closed, tues -sat 6pm-11pm and sun open all day probably from about 20pm ish lol!!! Oh well it does look pretty though!!!!

Neighbours still not playing ball with us. But we received an invite for the Great Mouton street party in a couple of weeks time. Might renew our faith in our neighbours if we can meet some lovely ones. They are having a blind dinner and drink comp, karaoke and lots of street games sounds like fun. You need to take own fold up table and chairs (hmmm) drink (yep) and food (easy).

Must dash now as we have hoards of children descending on us tomorrow, they'll be a grand total of 10 of us in our teeny bungalow but i'm sure it'll be fun. Its my son's 20th birthday today so on Saturday we're going to celebrate and have a bbq and get the bouncy castle and games out and play play play, in fact they can do a rave this weekend and supply us with the music lol.

Dashing into Norwich tomorrow to show DD the sights well the ones i've found, but need to find chapelfields and check that out. Lots more shops, shame!!!!

Every man (woman) is surrounded by a neighbourhood of voluntary spies - Jane Austen

Hmmmmmmmmmm funny thing ever and I mean EVER, apparently hubby has turned green over night and is sprouting werewolf hairs over his entire body and shock horror has grown two horns and a tail!!!!! You would believe me if you'd just seen how fast one neighbour just fled our next door neighbours driveway as hubby drove in. Now this is an old lady possibly in her 70's Linford Christie has nothing on her! I shall presume they were discussing their new neighbours and then on seeing one of the aliens arrive home had to make their excuses and vanish before they turned to stone by one look from my husband in their direction!!!! Seriously its funny because its soooooo bad!!! Might get a lot of mileage out of this, lol!!

So its been a few days since the last blog because we've been galavanting back to London for the weekend and (must be getting into country mode ) 1: forgot laptop (so no blogs or doodling notes for my blog) 2: forgot my camera (that is  UNHEARD OF) ever!!!

Saturday we took the long journey back to London to see our good friends celebrate 10 years of wedded bliss and get drunk, love them!! Fab evening, wonderful company, men were on fine form gossiping in the corner (that is supposed to be our job) and then the dreaded call from the babysitter "we can't cope with your child" . Wouldn't have minded so much but we'd only been out for half an hour when the call came through about the milk monster who is managing to terrorise the 5 people that were looking after him lol!
Milk monster of course doesn't swear but DOES slap!
Luckily for us (being the good parent we are) we were having so much fun out for the night, no kids that we didn't notice the answerphone message until an hour later so I suppose you could say we had a brief night out. Last to arrive, first to leave will now be our mantra amongst friends!! We dash home full of guilt to be presented with .....................................................................a sleeping baby (of course) all tucked up and snoring. Hmmmm what to do now, go back or kick the kids off of our bed as they were happily watching a dvd on the bed whilst watching the MM. Night kids, payback for not phoning or texting us back to tell us all was well and to enjoy the rest of our evening :).

Anyway we'd arranged to meet up with the lovely people the next day for a picnic so all was not lost. Just needed the weather to be fab now really. It was a glorious day, set up our picnic area under the tree and awaited our friends. Apart from the brief intermission where a mum came over screaming and hitting a man for taking her child (and possibly his) to the dreaded (gulp) park.

Must interupt this blog briefly as i'm being disturbed by hubby who is sat next to me reading out a condom leaflet and all the different varieties and flavours available. He is getting excited, I am trying to work!!! ;p "Condom needs to be put on before contact with partners body" you think???? Hubby stop now!!!

And back to the park, lovely day, kids played brilliantly together, hide and seek always fun when mum can't find any of the kids because they are so good at hiding (and staying still) behind a tree. My beautiful friend sang some songs and it was probably very reminise of a coca cola advert, happy smiling people, singing songs and loving each other. Had a game of rounders, kids against adults it was a draw much to the disappointment of the kids nur nur nur nur nur!!!

(sorry hubby now discussing vibrating ring). Top tip of the day, never and I repeat never use a condom more than once lol!!!!

Back again, very sad goodbyes again, hope its not like this everytime i'll have a mini breakdown. Always surprised how the simple things in life (that don't cost any money) are alwasy the best times. We simply did have a fab time, picnic, laughing, singing well DD was singing (lol) sorry honey but the dogs would start if I sang along with the chorus.

I cannot finish without saying how wonderful it is to spend the weekend at your parents home if you haven't spent that much time there since you were a kid. Can you make the tea, the lunch, a cooked breakfast and then there's the "I thought you'd come to see us not go out", "you have children now and should stay indoors" best one "shouldn't you wake up earlier in the morning" hmmm back to being a kid all over again. I love them like mad but slightly glad we're staying in the travelodge next time.

Had to wait around on the Monday for my darling daughter to finish her last day at work. Saw hubbys nan and his aunt for a flying visit and milk monster made an impression again as ornaments and small items were very quickly moved out of his way, some not fast enough and the poor wooden elephant was the first casualy of many. Said goodbye to my parents again (see why this is getting so hard each time) car loaded up (again) full to the brim with things that we'd left for safe keeping. Off to get daughter, quite impressed with her staying power at her job and I think working has brought her out of her shell and ready to go to uni (again lol) in September. Anyway she's coming over for the week and i'm expecting the perfect child (sorry adult|) that my parents say she is (nope straight back to just being on the laptop, messy room, no chores being done etc etc lol). Drove home damn that m25 aaaaaarrrgh!!!! We could have got home in the time it took to get one junction :( Motorway carnage (no idea of what happened as when you get through there's nothing to see) and we were gettign off at the next junction anyway which we could see but couldn't reach. So near but so far. Still we got home in under 3 hours and you know what it felt good to be home.

Its really shaping up to feeling like a proper base (can imagine our neighbours heads swiveling like the exorcist at the thought of us staying longer than the possible 6 month tenancy).

Back home and once the boxes are unloaded, the mess falls upon the house once again. Milk monster now has a car and a house made out of boxes lol.

Tuesday the day of the interview at a Nursing home, the hard part finding the dreaded place when we don't even know how to get to the shops without getting lost lol! Get there by the skin of our teeth (which if you think about it, there actually is no skin on our teeth so thats one of the weirder sayings) and they weren't expecting me. Hmmmm!!!!

Apparently the lady who was due to interview me was off sick that day and the new manager was only to happy to interview (talk) to me for the next 2 hours. We spoke about men, divorce, kids, being happy, new relationships, horrible exes and YES I got the job after the 2 hours of grilling lol! CRB form filled out, just need to send them references and I should be good to start in 6 weeks time, perfect timing for my maternity leave finishing. Yay i'm going back to being a nurse.

Employment agencies are driving me mad now, as well as inundating you with phone calls about loads of possible jobs they also phone you to see how you are, good luck in the interview, do you know the way to go, how did you get on, is there anything else you need all separate phone calls of course. Interview was at 11am finish just after 1pm and hubby had an interview at 3pm in Norwich. Mad dash back home (yep got lost first, slight detour through Diss), change of clothes for hubby. Off to Norwich. My turn to walk around with the baby exploring whilst hubby smiles a lot and nods a lot for his interview. Found loads more shops and some great little shops tucked away behind shops, unfortunately I don't think i'll find them a second time lol!

Hubby all finshed and has another interview set for tomorrow (today as I write) at 2.30pm after he has dashed over to his sisters' in Lincolnshire to pick up our bouncy castle business. Too close a call and he didn't have time to change just went straight to the interview in combat cargo shorts and a hoodie (you can see why our neighbours are wary of us) and thats when he swung back into the driveway today after all his escapades. Job front looking good for both of us though so thats one good thing.

Hubby dashed off again at 7 when he had footie training not so many people attended (apparently more of an every other week training) so he jogged around the park a few times before heading home. Bugger someone had hit his car in the car park but the person had left their details, name and contact number as well as brief note apologizing for smashing up hubby's car. Bless that wouldn't have happened in London. Hubby spoke to man this evening as car will be fixed through insurance companies. See nice area with nice people.

Speaking of that must big up Long Stratton Football Club for being so fab for hubby and son. DS went along last Friday for his first training session and he was really welcomed there. Even to the point of being invited to the park the next day but we were off to London so he wasn't able to but still so surprised how nice everyone is (except our neighbours of course).

Oh well tomorrow is another day.

“Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn,” “Gone With the Wind,” 1939

Since my last blog I have not really done a lot. Other than (continue) to unpack the boxes that just keep on coming. Can't believe I've left so many at my mums as well :( that'll be more to pick up tomorrow when we go back (nearly said home) and unpack.

Every room is now clear, I can't say finished as we have a mass of picture frames and nowhere to put them as yet. I am a pictureholic and have taken quite a few pictures in my time. In fact I get to the point of being really pleased with myself when one of my friends uses one of my photos I've taken in their Facebook. Sad I know!!!!

The other thing I've been sorting out is the boys schools, have now got both of their uniforms and they are good to go. Both understandably nervous but they are good boys and i'm sure they'll make friends. They aren't too sure about their uniform one have a super large flower on one side of his sweatshirt and the other a sextons wheel which looks ok until one sings about "****** & the flower tots" in reference to his brothers top and the other retorts back with "you want to have sex la la la " and scarily he is just 8. Not a great come back but the best he could do and I wouldn't allow hubby to help him with a more comical one!!!!!

Then the job front both me and hubby are on a mission to find a job asap. I've had 4 calls about jobs so far and have an interview on Tuesday (wish me luck) but still awaiting news on hubby. Hubby thinks Norfolk is a female dominated land where there are no jobs for men only jobs for women, hmmm (keep looking lol) I think its the masculine side where he wants to be the breadwinner but really we have no choice as to who works we just need some form of income. Personally i'd like to stay at home, work a bit of part time nursing, run the bouncy castle business, I have already got a contact to start selling Avon and be there for the boys, oh and blog. However I have one minor moan about looking for jobs, how many recruitment agencies are there exactly???? You apply for one job and that doesn't get spoken about but they have other positions you might be interested in!!! Hmmmm no I can look for myself and I liked the job that I originally applied for pleaase????????????????

Popped into Norwich yesterday for one of the school uniforms and was surprised by how nice it was. Lots of market stalls. Mini shops down cobbled streets and then the usual big name shops. One thought clothes ..........................................yay and for my daughter when she visits Primark can't lose. There appears to be loads more to see but we had 3 hungry boys by then so it was off to McDonalds, when they saw it it was like watching someone seeing a mirage of water after being stuck in the desert for weeks lol!!

I am pleased to say that hubby has started training with his beloved vets team and he can't wait to train again next week bless him. Wants to get fitter and ready for possible selection when a match comes up. He was full of aches and pains the next day but no pain no gain as they say. I said I would join fat club on Thurs and older boy has footie training on Fridays so apart from younger man we're all sorted. Baby has loads of clubs he can join lol!!!

Have an eventful weekend, off to my friends 10th wedding anniversary tomorrow night, huge congrats!!! Means me and hubby get a hall pass without the kids woo hoo!!!! Sunday picnic in the park (perhaps some rounders perhaps not lol) and Monday bringing back my daughter to stay with us for the week before the next weekend when the whole tribe descends lol!!!

TTFN!!!!

Wednesday 20 July 2011

Where do I begin?? To tell the story of how great a move can be????

Can't believe its been 8 days since the last blog - soooooooooooo much to tell so darlings hope you are sitting comfortably.

Believe it or not but I actually managed to pack my camera away and anyone who knows me knows it is always beside me so this was a major flaw on my part lol! Did take some pictures on my mobile but am unable to load them onto laptop so will try when I see my gorgeous beautiful daughter (who I know is able to do it lol).

There are a few days missing unfortunately as everything has all happened in such a blur that if I went as far back as Tuesday I’d forget what I was doing on any of the days and well my memory isn’t what it was which is why writing on a daily basis works so well for me. Mild dementia setting in early methinks so this is a perfect way of trying to remember where I was last Thursday when the police come called over crimes yet committed (joke). I do remember using part of my friends garage to store daughters uni things (good thing too as her ‘summer box of essential items’ has filled her bedroom at her grand-parents’ house) where she has decided to reside as there are only 4 buses a day where we live and are sporadic. Not great for a girl that loves going to gigs and arriving back at all hours of the morning. Ps the bus stop was also a 25 minute walk away and down those dreaded country lanes (more about that later).

Friday – the day of the Big move and woke remarkably early considering we were still up at the crack of dawn packing frantically. Well gorgeous hubby was as I managed to crash whilst getting the little man off to sleep about 11. Major thanks to our friends MK & hubby for babysitting milk monster for a couple of hours so we could finally get a few things packed without the demon baby child un-packer!!!
So we woke at 5ish might I say very reluctantly though! The day had finally hit us and we so weren’t prepared for it, I blame my countless hours blogging (well so does hubby lol) as we might have got a few more things achieved if I hadn’t found myself drawn into the virtual sharing world of the blog!
Left hubby to it whilst I dashed over to my mums to get the two boys ready for school, final lunches prepared and off to say goodbye to their friends. Milk monster was with me so hubby at least got the chance to get a few final things done or go back to bed who knows???
Took the boys to their respective schools and then walked (yes I was walking) back to the shops (for the last time) to get some provisions for hubby and the removal people (basically biscuits and drinks then). Saw a few old friends on the way (I believe that’s fate, saying goodbye to those you haven’t had the chance to before time ran out).
Arrived at the house and one of the vans had already been packed up, most impressed. Removal man started talking to me but for the life of me I couldn’t understand what he was saying so politely smiled and nodded a lot. Dropped off the provisions and went back to await the call to say they had finished packing up and I could go back to the house to do the dreaded clean the house from top to bottom.
Spent the rest of the morning round at my dads with the usual “how will you cope without your friends they mean so much to you”(valid point 1) , “how will you cope without being able to just go to the shops” (valid point 2), “you’re really going to miss us and your daughter & son” (very valid point 3) top marks daddy. Have you sorted yourself out now in question to my fertility and stopping the production of little people. Crashed and burned!!!! Not something I’ve considered so close to just losing a very precious little person. Hmmmm tactful as ever L.
Got the call I’d been waiting for at 11am ish closer to half past and set off with all manner of cleaning products and a hoover. Then for the next 4 hours and I mean 4 hours to a tee!!! I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned. Carpet cleaner came at 12 and was paid the princely sum of £125 for less than an hours’ worth of cleaning all the carpets. Will speak to hubby about getting into that line of work!!! All we need is a van, a carpet cleaner the products and your water and electricity oh and a bit of elbow grease lol!!!
Check out man came round whilst in the middle of cleaning, he came back an hour later still cleaning and then just before school was finishing I finished too. Phew!!! Blooming shattered might I say. Should have paid the other £125 for 2 people to clean the house from top to bottom then I could have just gone to the new house too.

School run time and picked up the boys, both seem pleasantly happy was quite worried about tears for the journey but that didn’t happen. Oh and on that point I’d just like to say thank you for my friend HG for making me cry when leaving my young man school after presenting me with a rose quartz necklace (I would look up the meaning hun but nada internetL) so out of the gate I went, quivering lip, sunglasses (of the overlarge variety) on and out the door ready for the sad drive away.
I have been a resident in Hillingdon since I was 2 years old so there are loads of fond memories there and some not so great, but I feel ready for the future now, new beginnings, new start, knowing us lots more issues lol!!
Driving out I look around at the familiar sites and smile. Yes I do love the place but I’m ready for the next chapter in my life.
4.30pm driving on the M25 and gridlock (well we got far didn’t we) and then we stayed there for the next hour and a half until we finally had the freedom of the M11. Little milk monster got stressed on several occasions; older son did a good job trying to entertain him moist of the way. Following the directions from my Google’s map app on my phone (it’s all I have lol) I took the turn they suggested and then spent the next 2 hours driving around country lanes (some rather pretty I noticed in my manic state of driving) milk monster now screaming (great) pulled over a million times (not helpful when my map reading abilities aren’t great) called hubby (his phone kept cutting out, discovered why later) and then after the drive that seemed never ending we found the A140 and were back on the road to Long Stratton and then onto Great Moulton.
A long drive, 3 seriously miserable boys by now and me wanting a bed to lie in.
Arrived puzzled as to why after hubby being at the hoiuse for the past 5 hours nothing seems to be unpacked and in fact nothing is in the right room.
Very quick shuffle around of rooms and furniture and the unpacking can start in the morning.
Hmmmmmm found hubby asleep on the sofa L not a great start to our new life (possibly drained all his energy by his carrying of me over the threshold earlier). After a manic argument about is this how our new life will be (hour at least of wasted energy) we both curled up in each other’s arms and fell asleep in a completely unadulterated shattered sleep.

Saturday – woke to the sounds of an owl and some birds. Sweet!! Finally felt motivated to enjoying and creating this wonderful new life of ours.
The next few hours consisted of finding boxes, finding places to put the things in boxes, taking empty boxes outside, walking back inside and discovering it looked like you’d unpacked nothing L. Flippin heck starting to think we either need a fairy godmother for the job or a full service crane to just get rid of everything and we’d win the lottery and be able to start again.
Finding the lack of communication from the outside world hard, no phone line, no internet and NO signal on our mobile phone (apparently our network is the worse one we could have out where we live now, a kind local told us hmmm cheers).
Then a bit of music started up …………………………………………………..sounded briefly like the boy that used to practice his drums across the road from us in Hillingdon every day and yet somehow after 8 months still never got any better.  Music is getting loader now, crikey come to the countryside for some peace and quiet and end up in the middle of a rave in the field opposite us. Looking forward to a weekend of this as its only midday now. Head hurting a little, combination of tiredness, loud music and the need to dance every now and again in a trance like state to the said music.
Hubby has been out to the car on several occasions to unload items still in there. Met both sets of neighbours. Said hello to both, been ignored by both.

And so the story starts ……………………………. Lol.

Boys are outside on the front lawn playing football and rugby tacking each other on occasions and as for making a good first impressions it won’t happen. I need two pretty little girls, wearing pretty dresses and playing sweetly outside with their dolls (ok fabrication that’s not how I remember my sisters playing either) .
Aaaargh music still playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On into the night. Remarkably fell asleep to the beat but put that down to utter exhaustion.

Sunday – woke and hurray its quiet. Doing a little bootie dance to myself. Thinking of tackling the rest of the boxes (maybe) bacon rolls (yum) and some sunshine (fab).  Apparently at school I was always a bit of a dreamer, apparently i still am????  Barely got a few boxes done L ; no bacon rolls can’t get the hob to work L; and sunshine tried to break through but it mostly rained. 9am and the music gets cranked up again, SERIOUSLY some choice words going around in my head but I won’t repeat for the sake of losing my blog forever lol. Boys have discovered a new way to combat the rain this thought they just go out in the rain pretend it’s not happening and continue playing football. Hubby has turned all Victor Meldrew and telling the boys they can’t play football in the garden as it will ruin the plants (WTF). I want my family back.
Luckily we received our local magazine and it said there was a South Norfolk fun day in Long Stratton between 11-4 so off we trot ready for the joys of the country fair.

Hmmmm maybe should have left the teenager at home then. ‘That’s not very good is it?’ ‘It’s better at Hillingdon’ (still biased at the moment). But aside from grumpy we really enjoyed the fair; little man went around all the areas collecting stamps so that he could get a prize when he left. There was a fab design a wheelbarrow competition made by local primary schools ah bless (actual picture)Mulbarton Junior School pupil Kalisia Grant with the school's prize winning wheel barrow at the Discover South Norfolk Day at the South Norfolk Council offices in Long Stratton.

Hubby loved the beer tent. I had Norfolk strawberry ice-cream yum as did milk monster and we found out how to successfully recycle our rubbish and people were sitting around on hay bales fab!!!   Just missed a bit of some country music and a little hoe down but otherwise it was pretty good. They even had a snail olympics theatre show, didn’t get to see much of that as decided to have  a mini coughing fit in the middle of the show (the kind that no matter what you do you can’t stop coughing and actually feel you may die) again great first impression madam!!!! Lol.Discovered a lady that makes cupcakes in the area, damn and blast her but no party suppliers so fingers crossed. Next week we’ll have to get back into the mood of advertising our business and hopefully taking some bookings but I need to book myself a table there (at the fair) for next year. Great marketing, loads of people.

Went home rather chilled and happy until it took us over an hour to find our way back home again and LS is only 2 miles away. Ended up driving to Diss (don’t ask) to get some petrol before the car completely died and we’d have to find our way home on foot (truly don’t fancy that).
Another night where we couldn’t get the hob to work. Something about they pans needs to be magnetic as it is a special hob blah blah blah. Tried searching for these special pans and only found them in John Lewis at over £200 each. Rather buy a replacement hob lol. Also noticed that our living room is in the conservatory but there are NO heaters anywhere???? Will need to get some methinks, but how much ??? Not such a problem at the moment but come winter and you may well be hearing about a family that froze to death in their conservatory whilst watching the telly on a cold winters night. Talking about heating we have NO central heating and instead need to buy our oil fired heating. We’re looking at £500-£600 to fill up the tank for winter L.
Did I tell you hubby has lost his job ??? L As they say it never rains but it pours but it makes the job search just that little bit more desperate now.
Internet is needed to get our job search back up and running.

Monday – broadband and phone line day. Sanity will be resumed. Due between 8-1, normally the latter then!! Not around here 7.50 and hubby and me ran around like mad throwing some clothes on (get your minds out of the gutter, nothing like that). 9am phone line all fixed and up and running, wow fantastic service. Broadband??? Haven’t been sent out our wireless device, maybe today, maybe tomorrow???? So relaxed arrrrgh when it is killing me and grumpy without our contact with the outside world. Hubby I believe is actually enjoying it and loving the sense that I am watching telly with him again and we’re talking again.
Great news kids have got into the schools of their choice (well my choice as they didn’t really decide) but all the same one less thing to worry about.
Spoke to my older son on the phone today and he is missing us so much he is again thinking about relocating to Norfolk (bless we’ve only been gone 2 days so far lol). Think that’ll it’ll take a little bit more than just deciding but will need to start researching possible places he can move to. Sorry for those of you without a previous history. My oldest son is autistic and lives in his own flat with carers and has done since he was 18. Studies at the local college and enjoys his independence. He is very intelligent but just lacks in social areas and situations. He would hate to move back to live with us as he finds the two boys well too boyish (if you get my drift) but wants to still stay close and so it was always our intention to move him alongside us but recently he’d changed his mind and wanted to stay as he is 20 next week (as he keeps reminding me) he is an adult now and can make his own choices. However he is really close to me and I knew that being away from him would be hard because even if you don’t see someone every day it’s always good to know they are close if you need them. So he has changed his mind again, so I will update on getting him into a home that would suit him.
Today cooked spaghetti bolognaises (so sick of chips now :() without the spaghetti as aaaargh that flaming hob will be the death of me. Heats up then cools down.
