I can see clearly now the rain has gone!!!!

Much much better day, DS woke this morning and declared how much he loved me and that it was obvious where he was going to live???? Could have fooled me, anyway back to feeling happy and ready for the move.
I got it so wrong I thought it would be Hubsters ex not mine that caused the problems lol!!

I vented loads on a thread on mumsnet last night and then went to sleep in hubsters arms with tears still streaming down my face. When i'd left the thread last night it was at 9 comments this evening it was at 235 where mums across the land were arguing at me (for moving a child of 14 what a heartless mother I must be) to the other half (I think 2/3rds) who were arguing on my behalf. Told them the outcome and that DS was still coming with me now and one mum even had a little tear down her cheek, bless.

Anway I can now concentrate on our move again. Although not so sure if our house here has now let as apparently they've now said that it would be better if the house had 2 bathrooms???? OMG!! It would, and a huge garden and side access for hubster.

Have started researching Norfolk a little more and found an activist site on FB against all those not from Norfolk and shouldn't be allowed to step over their border. Bet they don't have the same problems getting into London!!!

I picked up the funniest part of their page.

NORFOLK IS BOOOOOOOOTTTIIIIFFFUULLLL!

SPREAD YOUR NORFOLK PRIDE ACROSS THE COUNTRY... WE ARE NOT INBRED, WELL ANYONE FROM NORWICH ISN'T, AND AS NELSON ONCE SAID:

"I AM A NORFOLK MAN, AND GLORY IN BEING SO"

IT SEEMS THERE ARE TRAITORS WITHIN NORFOLK WHO ASPIRE AGAINST THE MOTHERLAND - HERES HOW TO TELL IF SOMEONE IS A TRUE NORFOLK BOORRR!
1) THEY SHOULD SAY "BOORRRR!"
2)GET THEM TO ORDER A PINT OF FOSTERS, IT SHOULD SOUND LIKE THIS "A PINGHT ARR FARSTERS PLEASSE BOR!"
3)OR FOR A LIGHTER, "HEV YEW GOTTA A LOIGHT BORR?"

THESE 3 SIMPLE PHRASES SEPARATE THE TONY MARTINS FROM THE STEVE WRIGHTS! FURTHER INFO CONTACT OUR FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER

It got me to thinking that is their accent all that differnt and then I saw this video

Very very funny!!!

and this one!!!

I SHALL write my book methinks one day lol!!!!

Bank Holiday Bigger Blues!!!!

Very Very Sad, have tried venting in all the usual places but still angry and sad :(.

Ex husband has been told by DD about move to Norfolk  and they phoned my son and asked him if he'd like to live there instead :( he is thinking about it and it has broken my heart.
I'd understand if said EX lived in this area so DS can still go to his school but he lives in Cambridgeshire so still a huge move.
DS has not spent more than 3 nights with him in a single visit for years now.
He has only just started seeing DS again first visit was in May last was in December and I had to ASK him to start seeing him again.
Is it a ploy to stop the move or would DS really be happy living somewhere else.
Had to listen to EX speak to me on the phone in that voice that declares you as a bad mum for moving and that I should have informed him first!!!! Seriously!!!!
Lots of history, far too much to mention in a blog but I don't think i'm being unreasonable in thinking DS is being used as a pawn in the game "who's the better parent".

Lots of "it'll take me further to see him if you move" er seeing him at all would be nice and what about your other son or daughter that YOU haven't seen at ALL since last December ??????

AAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!

Although I can't stop DS from making this decision it hasn't stopped me crying practically all evening over this.

Luckily (as well as lots of cuddles) my other son has told me to just think about money, rabbits, our house

and being happy and then i'll be HAPPY. Bless him, I do feel better thanks to the fact that there is a lot of love left in this family <3 <3

Who ever thought moving would be this hard :(.

Not my usual happy blog, so please excuse my rant. Normal service should resume tomorrow.

TTFN!

Bank Holiday Blues!!!

Well its been raining all afternoon but can't really moan given the amount of sunshine we have already had. But leads to a boring Bank Holiday Monday hubby took all the kids to see "Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2" and they loved it and have declared the mum in the movie as me, well mainly when she dances !!!! I have no idea what they mean???? LOL.

Found a new activity for a Sunday afternoon, head to Sainsbury's one hour to half an hour before closing to become part of the yellow ticket brigade (very very cheap fresh cream cakes etc lol). It actually was funny watching loads and I mean loads of grown up chasing a sainsbury's employee as she started taking stock off the shelves.
When we got to the cake stall, hubby actually had to ask if it were at all possible for someone to serve us a full price items because there were soooooo many people waiting for reduced good. This is in Hayes for all that live locally!!!!

Told hubbys children yesterday about the new baby news (went remarkably well, almost all want a girl though, might not be so easy to achieve) and the news about the move to Norfolk now that its confirmed and we're definitely going. Sorry Helen :( and Mobila please don't cry again :( I love you both so much and we will still see each other all the time, I promise!!!!
All the kids had lots of questions but there was none of the tantrums about the move as I had been expecting, although MRS EX might although phone has remained quiet since they returned home so we'll wait and see. The kids are really pleased though that they'll have their own living room / bedroom in the new house, rather than being squashed on our settees as they currently are.
Need to start planning a timetable to match all timetables now to make sure we see the kids on a regular basis, my kids see their dad and grandparents and friends see us and kids, PHEW!!!
After this I feel i'll be able to use these skills to go into any job that the job market throws at me.
Had a viewing on our house on Saturday and they offered on it and just need it confirmed as to when they want to move into the property (hopefully not next week, again Helen get the boys into the l/room we're using their bedroom lol). Smelly candles and gorgeous fresh flowers always do the trick!!!
Started to get quotes for the removals, so far £400 and £600 the £400 is a small luton and is only for one trip so we're kind of in trouble if we can't get everything in the one load as we aren't really around the corner with this move and the latter price doesn't include vat or boxes, blimey!!! Pricey.

Might try to carry it all on our back, oh shame i'm expecting again I get out of all the heavy work AGAIN ooops!!!

Have supplied mumsnet with a multitude of questions again for the move, kids need to know where the closest Mcdonalds is lol!
Heard from older boys school on a Sunday I like the dedication and we hopefully have an appointment to see the school on the day we get the keys to the new property 20th June 2011.
Blimey really moving, need to start writing my lists, gosh I like a good list!!!!

I just can't explain what I want or what I'm thinking.........

Man my head has been working overtime today but in particular this evening!!!!
Firstly we have received our tenancy agreement which means we’re good to go, which is fab news on the one hand but on the other getting rather scared s***less to say the least.
Schools not organised and can’t be until said copy of tenancy agreement signed by both parties is seen by the education department. However would you sign a tenancy agreement if you weren’t sure your child would get a place in the school in that area.
So i’ve been doing more internet research I know I know, leave it alone now. House found and agreed so ……………………
Ofsted results for school in Long Stratton, satisfactory and I was shocked, they came up as a level 3 for almost all department except a 2 (which is GOOD) for pupils attendance and care and support within the school and a level 4 (BAD) for promoting of community cohesion.
Seriously started to worry about this UNTIL I looked at my sons current school ofsted and I believe he goes to an excellent school. AGAIN satisfactory!!!!! Blimey.
So stopped thinking about the schools and focused on the house.
My criteria when I started thinking about this move was:
Cottage (have a modern house)
Village (small town but still classed as a village so almost)
Able to raise chickens (not in this garden)
Enough room for all kids to come over (check as long as they don’t all want to play outside)
Close to the sea (well almost again 30 mins tops???)
Good schools (see above and as for little mans school that all depends on whether he wants a school with 15 or 200 pupils lol).
Driveable back to London (check)
Nice walks (believe so but possibly a drive away first lol)
Hubbys vet footie team (check)
It did make me ponder when doing my check list whether we are really going for what we want or what is actually available.
So I started thinking of the original search. The prettiest village / location i’ve seen so far are
Scopwick , Lincolnshire
and Buckland Brewer , Devon
Now have to just add then when looking for a photo for Buckland Brewer these ladies came up!!!!!
Apparently done for the FARMERS calendar, no wonder hubby wants to move to the countryside!!!! (lol). All tastefully done ladies i’m sure ;)
Prettiest cottage has been in Sudbury, Suffolk
OK not actually this one but very close in example (ish)
and ooops just found this JEM whilst looking in Illfracombe. Hubby will not be pleased lol!!!
Picture 1
Picture 2
and YES that is the SEA!!!
Picture 4
hmmm we do happen to be heading to Devon for the weekend soooon, perhaps just a wee look?????

Feeling FAT FAT FAT!!!

Thursday 26th May 2011
Every had one of those days when you just feel really really fat even if you aren’t??? I had one fo those days which resulted in eating EVEN more lol!! I know I’m going off the beaten track with this thread but aaargh!!! I’ve eaten so much today I should be looking for a field to live in rather than a house!
Nothing happened today, not on the Norfolk front or our house. No more viewings and I’m trying so hard to keep the house tidy but I have a six month old who thinks he’s a toddler, toys get pulled out of the toy box, skips everywhere and a mountain of dirty clothes (in fact make that a teenager).
Hubster has applied for his first job application, yay and guess what yes it’s for a postman. Bless him, fingers crossed he gets it as he seems so keen on doing this kind of work. He had to fill out a normal application form, then after answering normal interview questions as well as filling out the application, you’re then given 24 hours to complete 2 tests which are timed and can only be answered once. For the first time EVER hubster actually shooooed me out of a room as I was a distraction.  Still in the honeymoon stages you see ;).
So nothing more to report. Got a text this evening from my guarantor saying forms have been filled out, income verified so that was really the final thing we were waiting for. So ………………………….
It looks like this blog will be changing to MOVED pretty soon.
Starting to feel a little bit peculiar, I truly have the best friends in the world and I will batter them over their heads IF they don’t come visit me and often.  As of course I will them……..
Must have leaving party too, of course you can never take the party girl out of me lol!!!
Oh and must must must sort out schools aaargh!!!!
And more job applications for hubster xxx
removals
utilities etc etc

Back and Blogging again!!

Wednesday 25th May 2011.

Well that was a journey and a half. After getting almost 900 views / visits to my last blog the site completely crashed and died leaving my little blog in nowhere land. So with the help of my daughter complete blog was airlifted onto this new site and i’m up and running again yay!!!
Even better blogs get put on automatically onto FB yay ( little girlie hand clapping in background).
So I contacted both schools to apply for places and am awaiting replies (more waiting) and contacted agent about the house in LS. Apparently just waiting for my guarantor to fill out his form. Big shout in his direction, should be done tomorrow but nothing else is really standing in our way.
IF
You don’t count my teenager, soooooooooooo where are we moving to? why are we moving there? why can’t you just go back to work then we cab stay here???
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard it kills me that he won’t just give it a try, if it works its great if not we gave it a good shot/ Anyway new XBox game apparently out in 6 months time that’ll keep him occupied.
Even had my daughter looking up statistics for LS and this is what she found (LOL)
