There's no place like HOME!

Now I know its been almost 4 months since the last blog and as you can imagine a fair few things have happened in that time, firstly YES we've moved back home........................
after my last blog we actually started to settle into Stokenchurch, F was happy in his school and doing really really well and had lots of friends, so the plan was to wait for 2 years and then move but as everyone knows plans don't always work out.
I was offered a full time job at my last hospital but the thought of a 60 mile journey on the M40 everyday sometimes after a 12 hour shift just didn't float my boat but I thought I could do it for a year or so until we were ready to move again.
But then F came back from his dads one weekend and his precious hair had been cut off and he point blank refused to go back to his old school (it was the summer holidays at the time). Now any other parent in the world would have told their child to stop being so stupid and send them back to the same school come September but!! it suddenly meant not waiting for 2 years to move but could we move lock stock and barrel within the summer holidays all 4 weeks that were left of it????
Come on its me!!!
So we started the big (fast) search again and handed in our notice on the old house (without having found a new house but needed to give 2 months notice).
First house I saw, great size but no front drive but you could park on the back of your garden which meant it was just a yard but I was assured by the estate agent that would be perfect for the dog??? but possibly not for the kids or us or flowers, greeneery etc etc, seriously it was a concrete graveyard.
Then we looked at another house on a main road and anyone who knows the demo man knows that isn't a good idea because escape artist IS his new middle name.
So we went back to the drawing board and then waited for a property to come up that was cheap enough and was big enough for 10 now don't worry its not always 10, normally its the 5 of us plus dog but on occasion ie every other weekend the house is often stretched to its full capacity.
And then it came up the perfect house in the perfect setting and how did I know that....................... i'd lived / rented it before (well it had to happen at some point i've rented so many houses now that eventually i'd end up back at the same house lol). I didn't go to view as i'd lived there 7 years before and so hubby went on his own (seriously scary the power I gave him)
and he liked it so deposit down (thanks daddy) and we waited and waited to get the references through, 4 days before getting the keys they said everything had gone through and we were good to go...............
However as in all good plans we didn't have a penny left from paying 2 lots of rent to afford a removal van soooooooooooooooooo we have done over 20 journeys in my little picasso bringing boxes and furniture
and for the last lot of big furniture we got a lovely man and a van for £75 would highly recommend him as we worked his poor socks off and now we are back home with friends and family and erasing the past year (although it has been an adventure trying out the country ;P) but we should never have left.
The new house is in a state but i'll work my magic on it  there is no gate from the front of the house to the back garden so I have had to make a barracade (for the time being) with boxes and a dishwasher etc etc as demo man aka escape artist of the year 2012 can't make the 100 yard dash up the alley way and out of the road  but he has learnt that he can climb onto his toybox , up onto the windowsill and out of the window!!!! AAAARGH!

So today we have been at the house since Wednesday so 4 nights in and we're getting there, so far one of the neighbours (as of course they remember me) has been across to tell me about the firework through the (our) front door that caused a huge fire 3 years ago hmmmm!!
Then yesterday we had a helicopter land at the top of our road  and this morning with the current heatwave and the windows all open so I woke to ......................................sirens and lots of them

are well home sweet home - new blog escaping back to town 2012!!!
TTFN!!!!
